This program is designed to help the student athletes within a school district come together to become more effective leaders for their teams and schools. Each high school in the district can nominate junior male and female student athletes to attend. The number of participants from each school will be determined by the number of schools in the district and the venue.
This program provides the opportunity to have your junior student-athletes become more prepared, more confident, and more comfortable to be leaders for their teams and schools.
Student athletes have the opportunity to meet other student athletes from district schools, share ideas, and build relationships, which should improve sportsmanship within the district.

"Being a part of the student-athlete leadership program has been a transformative
experience for our student-athletes in Mobile County. The IDEALS leadership program
emphasized the importance of leadership, teamwork, communication, and
resilience—qualities that have greatly enhanced performance both on and off the field.
The program not only developed leadership qualities but teaches how to serve as a
positive role model. This experience has helped our student-athletes develop into a
better all-around person and qualities that will help in everyday life."
- Brad Lowell - Mobile County Public Schools Athletics
